Why we love ElectroBraid?

Having been around horses most of my life I have seen my fair share of fence related injuries.  These injuries have not had a common fence type - I have rescued horses from high tensile wire fences,  had to stitch gaping wounds caused by post and rail, treated puncture wounds from soft tensile wire, seen the scars left by gate injuries and witnessed owners having to make the heart breaking decision to put horses down due to the injuries they have sustained in fencing accidents.   I have spent the last 3 years passionate about the techniques of horse fencing.  Now researching and gathering information, calling on experienced and respected horse people for their advice and wisdom, fencing for horses for safety has become an interest and passion.  There are many types of fencing I have considered however when it came to my pasture fencing Electrobraid is one of the safest fences you can install.  This fence delivers the following horse safety benefits as a permanent fence: 

• It is highly visible to horses.  Horses are far sighted and look to the horizon as they scan their environment. So even when close the braid is visible enough to be seen.
• It is secure enough to contain a horse that runs into it without causing injury or fence damage.  A single strand of ElectroBraid requires 1300pounds before it breaks.
• It has enough give to minimise impact injuries—like ropes on a boxing ring it gives and springs back - many nylon coated fences are too rigid and can cause broken bones.
• The electric current acts as a physiological deterrent which will discourage jumping and discourage horses pushing on or testing the fence.
• Installed correctly it will have no openings that can easily trap a head or hoof (this is why some meshes are so dangerous for horses).
• There are no sharp edges or projections that can injure a horse that is leaning, scratching or falling into it.  The Braid is unique to anything on the market as it is a made of high strength polyester.  Nylon Braids and wire may still cut and puncture your horse.
• It is inexpensive to install and easy to maintain.  I am of slight build and once the posts were in place I installed it on my own!
• It has a 25 year warranty against, rot, rust and environmental damage.  No other Braid or permanent electric fence product offers this!
• It looks appealing, your fields will feel clearer and more open—I enjoy seeing my horses and they enjoy feeling like they are in wide open predator-free places!
